Interesting idea

Hi Josip,

I don't know if you have looked into the ADO.NET Entity Data Model Designer Extension functionality, but in any case here's an interesting link:

http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/DesignerExtStartKit

It's a starter kit that shows how to extend the EF designer to add custom properties to the Entities directly in the designer.

I find this idea very interesting as it would allow a better way of specifying which entities must be translated to CSLA business objects, instead of using the "Documentation" property. A dedicated set of properties could be added to the EF designer to help "shape" the resulting BOs.

What do you think ?

Hi Luc,

This looks very promising. I have downloaded the Extension Kit, and will see if something can be used in this project.

Thank You!

Yes, it opens a whole lot of possibilities.

With it we have full PropertyGrid integration, that means TypeConverter and UITypeEditor support !!

Cheers
